Electric grills

Electric grills are useful for those who want a tasty bite for dinner, but don't have the option of cooking safely over an open fire or don't want the long process of charring and cleaning up ash. Electric barbecues are usually compact, portable and lightweight, so they fit perfectly on balconies, terraces and, if you have a good cooker hood, in your home kitchen.

Electric grilling is a completely different way of cooking that is useful in everyday life. Electric grills heat up in just 5-10 minutes, so in about 20 minutes you'll be serving up a masterful dinner for yourself or your hungry family! In fact, electric grills are more environmentally friendly than other barbecues, emitting relatively low levels of toxins.

It's good to know that electric grills have a non-stick grill coating, so there's virtually no need to use any extra fat, and they melt about 40% or more of the fat in the meat you cook. For this reason, this type of grill is favoured by athletes: it makes the meat less fatty and retains a high protein content.

If you want to add a smoky aroma to your food, use fire herbs, wood blocks or a smoking cylinder to be filled with wood chips, pellets or other aromatic additives. Also good news for fans of smoked fish or meat: you can smoke your food using the same cylinder for hot smoking and a cold smoke generator for cold smoking fish or meat. The most important condition for smoking is that the electric grills have lids.

Electric grills also have cooking surfaces that distribute the heat evenly and the temperature is easily controlled so that, for example, a steak will cook evenly - without burnt or undercooked areas. The only thing to consider is this: if you want to take an electric grill with you on a trip, on a camping trip, think carefully - there must be an electrical outlet where you are going, so grilling in the countryside will be more difficult than at home. You could say that an electric grill is most convenient in winter - when you don't want to venture outside and you can't refuse delicious grilled food.

Maintenance requires no special attention. Electric grills have an easy-to-remove grease collection system with a tray: if the tray is replaceable, just replace it with a new one when it fills up, and if the tray is reusable, just wash it - even in the dishwasher. In fact, the grease management system is also important to keep the grease away from the heat source, thus preventing food from catching fire, stinking and avoiding unpleasant fumes.
