Pork ribs with TRAEGER grill

Pork ribs are a timeless grill classic. There are many variations, but probably every grill has a signature recipe that they always use and never make the mistake of putting this dish on the table. You will find a classic, but really great recipe in this post.

The recipe is shared by the chefs of TRAEGER, the world's leading grill company. We guarantee that you will be amazed by the result and that you will have to spend very little of your free time to prepare it.

You can prepare this dish TRAEGER on the grill or in any other grill or even in the oven. However, bear in mind that wood pellets or charcoal give a special, unique smell and taste.

Pork ribs with Traeger

Ingredients:

  • 4 pork rib strips
  • 1/2 1 cup of ground paprika
  • 1/3 cup garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp. onion powder
  • 2 1 tbsp. chili seasoning
  • 1 v.s. ground cayenne pepper
  • 2 v.s. black peppercorns
  • 1,5 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1,5 a.š. ground cumin
  • 1/2 apple juice
  • 1/2 white grape juice
  • Honey
  • Traeger 'Que or your favourite BBQ sauce

    Production:

    • Mix the spices: in a small bowl, add the brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, cayenne and black pepper, oregano and cumin. Mix the spices well;

    • Rub the ribs on both sides with the resulting spice mixture;

    • Rub the salt and brown sugar mixture into the meat and leave uncovered in the refrigerator overnight;

    • Set TRAEGER in the pellet grill 135 ˚C and heat the grill with the lid on for 15 minutes;

    • Place the ribs directly on the grill grates with the flesh side facing up. Close the lid and cook for 45 minutes. When cooking outside the pellet grill, choose the indirect cooking method (use a deflector), 135 ˚C, smoke using your favourite wood chips or wood pellets.;

    • While the ribs are cooking, mix the apple and grape juices;
    • Remove the ribs from the grill and place on on baking paper or foil, flesh side up. Pour the juice mixture over the ribs;

    • Drizzle honey liberally over each strip of ribs. Wrap the ribs tightly in baking paper or in foil. Why do we suggest using baking paper? You will have a stronger smoke flavour and smell.

    • Return the ribs to the grill and cook for a further 1 hour with the lid closed. The temperature is the same - 135 ˚C.

    • Unwrap the ribs from the paper or foil and place them directly on the grill. Increase the temperature to 175 ˚C and cook for a further 30 minutes.

    • Brush Brush the ribs Traeger Que or your favourite BBQ sauce and fry for a further 5 minutes. Slice the ribs and serve for company to enjoy!
