RED DOT - is an annual election that has been running for more than 65 years and gives designers and manufacturers the opportunity to be recognised internationally. This year, as every year, more than 6'500 products from over 60 countries were submitted!
Each year, an international jury of competent experts from different disciplines evaluates products in dozens of categories. The judging process takes several days. It takes into account not only the aesthetic appearance of the product, its packaging, its creativity, but also the practical aspects of the product, such as the choice of material, the craftsmanship, the surface structure, the ergonomics and the functionality.
It is not without reason that the jury decided that KATAI Chef's Knife is the best in the cooking equipment/tool category: handmade in Japanese VG10 steel, 60 Rockwell hardness, with an exceptionally stylish and sophisticated shape.
