Guarantees

Looftlighter® is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of purchase. The warranty applies only to manufacturing defects. Shipping costs are not covered by the guarantee. The warranty will also not be valid if the device is modified without permission. Warranty claims must be submitted with the purchase receipt. The warranty does not cover self-inflicted faults, such as melting the front of the Looftlighter®. This warranty is based on normal and reasonable non-commercial use and operation of the Looftlighter. The warranty does not apply if the Lofftlighter is used for commercial or similar purposes.

LIGHT IT UP. Attach the tip of the Looftlighter to the coals (2-3mm apart)

BACK OFF.  When sparks appear or coals start to glow

KEEP GOING. Continue to direct the air flow to the same place (~ 1 min )

IMPORTANT. Coal and wood ignited in the Looftlighter quickly heat up to a very high temperature. Looftlighter absorbs the heat coming from them. Therefore, the outer tube (with holes) is made of aluminum. Its sole purpose is to protect against heat.

The advantage of aluminum is that it does not heat up to dangerous levels and cools down quickly. However, aluminum also has a disadvantage: it can melt if the Looftlighter is in contact with the coals/wood for too long, so it is very important to move the burner away if sparks appear or the coals start to sizzle.

If you have not followed the instructions above and left the Looftlighter attached to coal or firewood for too long (and the aluminum melted as a result), we are sorry, but the warranty will not be valid in this case.
